What is it?
Prescription medication order records. Created when a provider prescribes medications to a patient. Tracks order status from prescription through dispensing.
Medication Order Flow
Provider approves Patient Plan (with dosage)
→ Medication Order created
→ Sent to pharmacy / compounding pharmacy
→ Pharmacy processes
→ Medication shipped to patient
→ Order status updated to Dispensed

Pharmacy Integration
ThriveLab works with compounding pharmacies for custom formulations (common in BHRT/hormone therapy). Medication Orders are transmitted to pharmacy partners.
Compliance Notes
- Controlled substances require DEA registration (tracked in State_Provider)
- PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) checks required in some states before dispensing controlled substances
- All prescription records must be retained per state medical board requirements
